Ms Beirne is a native of Cincinnati, Ohio, where she received a B.A. from the University of Cincinnati She has lived in the Atlanta area since the 1960's and is a cofounder of the Dunwoody Fine Arts Association. She developed an interest in the style of the Flemish painters and has studied with artists in Scottsdale, AZ, Taos, NM, and Raleigh, SC. Ms Beirne's oil paintings have won top awards in numerous regional and national shows. They are included in private collections throughout the US, Canada, England, Germany, Japan and Puerto Rico.
